As a homeschooled student, you likely benefited from an education tailored to your needs and learning style, yet you were free to pursue other academic, athletic and cultural interests at home, in the community or via a Home School group. At Bethel, we respect the unique gifts you’ll bring to our campus. Our small class sizes create a student-centered atmosphere that permits our instructors to understand who you are as a thinker.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR HOMESCHOOLED FRESHMAN APPLICANTS:
Since many homeschoolers do not study under the umbrella of a local school district or a homeschooling agency, Bethel permits you to create a transcript of your high school course work. Transcripts should include all courses taken in grades 9 through 12 as well as final grades.
A letter signed by the prospective student’s parents indicating that all home schooling standards required by the state in which the home schooling occurred have been met.
If these two submissions cannot be made, it will be necessary to obtain GED test scores.
We have found homeschoolers to be high academic achievers with a mature faith. Nearly all homeschoolers who have enrolled have been very successful in their Bethel experience.
